This is encouraging. I also noticed that there is confirmed contact with Skyview Media. That's also great news. Hopefully we surge to the finish line here.
Can we get some info on the issues/concerns that those who have not signed are having? Also, does any of them live in the building? Do some of them live in a different state? Are any of them renting illegally? Are any of them relatively new owners? Some of these answers have been scattered throughout the blog by owners but it would be helpful to have an update from Josh and team. Then maybe we can generate some ideas to help encourage them. Many great ideas have already been posted throughout the blog by owners. If we know where these 18 homeowners stand we can better decide what ideas to implement to win them over.
Pretty sure they're trying not to share anything too personal because it could have the opposite effect and perhaps make these remaining individuals harden their resolve. In one of the other posts I read there are floor captains, and a meeting happened with a small group last Friday. I think if Josh wrote something like "Hey, John Doe, doesn't want to sign because he is trying to get more cash from the deal and doesn't want to pay a commission to us", it may cause some of us to flip out on that person. Just a thought?
I think their advice has been repetitive for a reason. Call your neighbors and talk with them. That's perhaps all they can say, or feel comfortable saying? I'm sure they would like us to know more, but they have to be professional. Also, I know one of the owners who plans to sign, but is just working on getting his deed amended for a personal reason. If Josh starts sharing personal details it might upset the deal.
Best thing we can do is just talk to our neighbors and figure this out with them. We're all in this together and it should be easy for us to have an adult conversation without all the emotions attached to them. This is going to benefit everyone! Stay positive and lets make sure we help our neighbors see it.
I know we have some older homeowners on that list. I will reach out to them and see if we can help them in some way. I spoke with one of the owners who said she is worried about the moving company coming in and breaking things. She also said she's too old to pack things around and needs help. I offered to come help her pack when the time approaches. Maybe we can all agree to help some of our elderly neighbors.
This needs to remain a positive experience for everyone. I know I will be so relieved and happy happy happy once this deal closes. We're all going to benefit whether we realize it or not.
I will help her and anyone else pack as well. I am sure there are many who would lend a hand. Please, if anyone is on the fence about signing because they are having trouble with the logistics of the transition, some of your neighbors will help you. Please ask us here or contact the agents. Please!
I had a great moving company who packed and moved our things across the country. There was a ton of packing materials and bubble wrap, but not a single thing was broken. ***Hilldrup*** was the name. It was a corporate move and the coordinator who did the estimate said they were the best of the list that is used. I didn't get to choose, so maybe he says that about all of the movers, but it was a very good experience.
We unpacked our own things, so it was a bit of mystery how things were grouped. If it's a move that's nearby, I've often taken one kitchen cabinet at a time and just moved it over.
I've hired the heavy things to be moved and can ask around for a recommendation. I find Yelp to be pretty helpful. You may even find someone who is good at organizing a move. I have a friend who does personal errands, cleans out closets, that sort of thing. She also does gift shopping and wrapping. A personal organizer, basically. I can ask around for a referral, if that would help.
Hey guys, I manage a moving company, Two Men and a Truck. I can guarantee safe and A-Team crews to anyone who is worried about using movers. We offer packing, unpacking, and also move the items.
If anyone has any questions about moving or what not let know! I can also give a Sobu Flats rate discount!
Warren, This is great! I think we need more suggestions/solutions for holdouts who have logistical concerns. Could you possibly share this with the agents so they could communicate it to the other owners?
Of the remaining non-signers these are the only ones that actually live in their unit: Carl Weisser Terry kizzar Pat C Ezra Everyone else thinks their "rental property" has more value than our only homes. Must be nice to sit in your home with no worries about moving. Thanks holdouts!
I hope Everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Presently we have contracts still unsigned. We have made contact with ALL remaining unsigned owners and provided them with any and all information possible. Nobody has said “NO” to signing their contracts with the assemblage. Not a single person. All remaining individuals are fully aware of this opportunity. We have spoken with all of them. If we aren't in receipt of signed contracts by the remaining unit owners by 5 PM on 1 December 2017 they will be counted as a "NO" to signing with the assemblage. If we receive an official "NO" from any of the unsigned unit owners the assemblage team will update the blog immediately informing everyone that the assemblage is incomplete, and the deal is off. We encourage all of you to please speak with your neighbors about the importance of this deal. The property is worth approximate...
Good Evening All. We are fully assembled! Thank you for your participation! We will be in touch in the next few days to give an update on next steps. Enjoy your weekend!
Good Morning Sobu Flats Community. Josh and I are still working with the remaining five unsigned individuals. There will be a formal update tomorrow evening. Thank you for your patience.
Encouraging progress! 18 to go!!!

I used Two Men and a Truck locally and they did a great job!
